Hi Everyone,

Thanks for sending us to Costa Rica! We had a wonderful and impacting outreach and we’re excited to share a report of our trip with you.

We spent much of our time on the street corners in San Jose (the capital city of Costa Rica) ministering to some of the many prostitutes in that city. Prostitution is legal in Costa Rica, and it was heart wrenching to see how many women (and even some men) were caught up in this horrible business. We even spent Valentine’s Day night handing out flowers to some of these prostitutes – letting them know that they were special and beautiful in God’s eyes.

In addition to this, we helped with a children’s outreach program in an impoverished neighborhood, worked on a community development construction project to help a poor widow, and we ministered to a group of YWAM (Youth With A Mission) students in missionary training. We had some great opportunities to share God’s love in Costa Rica and we hope that we can do more to reach this part of the world in the future.

We’re also excited about a new Bible distribution project in Costa Rica. The missionaries we stayed with (Steve and Elizabeth Gilroy) are working with YWAM and The Bible Society of Costa Rica to direct “The Bible Project.” The mission of The Bible Project is to distribute a Bible to every home in Costa Rica. We are considering helping with this project and we are also looking into the possibility of taking a group mission trip down to Costa Rica to help with Bible distribution.

Thanks so much for your prayers and support for Gospel Projects International. We are very thankful for your help as we try to reach the world for Jesus. Please remember to keep the orphanage in India, the Bible School and our National Ministers in your prayers. Also, pray for God’s wisdom and provision as we make plans to head back to India (Lord willing) in May 2012.

Yours in Christ,

Josh & Anna
